Terina makes special holiday decor with a Santa busted canvas. Everyone at your holiday parties will be asking where you got it, and you’ll be able to say “I made it!” Follow the tutorial now in the Holiday Hits special on the Made It Myself TV app, online, or read on for an overview of the project.
To create this craft, Terina used a three holiday stencils, chalk paste, a blank canvas, and hot glue.

Start by using the Santa stencil and chalk paste to create the 3 dimensional Santa which will be "busting" through the canvas. You can create the outline and then once dry, add the colors. If needed, go back over the Santa with the same stencil and black to make it really pop.

Prepare the back of the canvas with a music sheet stencil and black chalk paint. When the canvas is cut open, this is the part you will see curled around to the front.

On the front of the canvas, use another stencil and various colors of chalk paint, thinned with distilled water, to create the front design. Most of this design will not be visible after cutting open the canvas.

Glue your Santa head on a background that is the same size as the frame. After cutting the frame open (see below) you will glue the background+Santa to the frame.

Open your frame and start peeling back the layers.

Use hot glue to secure the corners of the folds.

Enjoy your magical Christmas decoration!
